The asphalt sheeting is treated for fire resistance, so is the carpet padding under that. Additionally, the miners are being severely under-clocked (running at 60% capacity). This mitigates most of my worry, and worst case scenario, it is in a shower!
Great setup. Any follow up tips on your design? Anything you would have changed since this build? Did you do any decibel testing before and after? Thanks!
Awesome.
Pretty awesome! It does look scary to leave equipment like that so near wood and carpet. Are you confident about the fire hazard risk you're taking?
Good question. Here's how I think of it.

THANK YOU SO MUCH
Happy to help. Best of luck building.

Do you have a 20 amp breaker?
Not in the apartment. I'm just underclocking the miner to be safe.
Also with this box are you seeing good noise reduction??
I'm getting ~13db reduction in sound, which is substantial.
Will This work in countries with hot climates??
Unsure, you'll have to experiment yourself. There will be changes throughout the day in fan speed as your location heats/cools.
Nicely done!
That is inspiring.
Thank you!
I'm assuming you are paying residential electric rate, and thus likely, with an S9, not enjoying much return over the cost of the electricity.
That's OK, if your motivation for mining is not primarily economic gain.
Just a sentence or two about this in the post would probably be fair.
This actually isn't true.
I'm consistently getting between 25% and 35% net profitability depending on pool luck and overall hash rate.
This means, at the end of the day, all BTC acquired in a state of mining profi is also acquired at a below market rate.
